Task 1.Teaching is a challenging profession. Event the best teachers often make mistakes. What are the most common mistakes teachers often make? 重复2016年9月11号
Well, there are many mistakes that teachers tend to make. For example, they just focus on their lesson plans rather than students’ learning process. Teachers are desperate to keep students busy. They just follow the procedure like grammar instruction, vocabulary work, then a class novel, and so on. They totally forget about the learning process of the students. Additionally, teachers don’t keep in touch with students’ parents. Actually, lots of teachers find it uncomfortable to contact parents. Parent contact is beneficial since it can make sure that teachers and parents are on the same page, working in the child’s best interest. Interactions with parents will be very conducive to students’ educational experience.
Task 2. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: friends should be totally honest with each other. 2017年5月6日写作题目类似。
Well, I don’t think people should be totally honest with their friends. Sometimes white lies can be helpful to maintain healthy friendship. For example, if you forget your friend’s birthday and your friend gets really upset about it, you’d better not tell your friend the true story. It is okay for you to say that you have been working all day long and it just slips your mind. Your friend will be considerate and understand your situation. However, if you tell your friend the true story, I bet your friend will really get hurt.

Primary school is considering spend more time on teaching young student (5-11) technology (like computer) than teaching music and art. 重复2016年9月10号下午写作
The question of what is the most important subject or skill elementary schools should teach has never failed to attract attention from educators, school administrators and even politicians, especially when it comes to subjects like technology, or music and art. Some argue that school should spend more time teaching technology than music and art. Personally, I am not in favor of this position based on the following reasons.
Admittedly, with the advent of Internet and state-of-art gadgets like laptops and tablets, being able to use computers skillfully is being considered as a valuable quality. However, early exposure to computers and other kinds of technological products might bring lots of risks and problems to kids’ future development. Recently, research by National Society of Psychiatrists shows that exposure to computers at an early age leads to addiction to computers when they grow older and obviously spending too much time in front of the computer can pose a threat to kids' health. To be more specific, it leads to neck problems, nearsightedness, backache and even childhood obesity. Moreover, instead of getting addicted to playing online games and watching meaningless videos, kids should have spent more time focusing on their academic study, or learning how to appreciate artwork or music. Indeed, not only does spending more time learning art and music bene t the kids, but also it is conducive to the community as a whole.
First off, learning art and music at an early age helps to develop creativity and make the kids more imaginative. Actually, lots of scientific research in the psychological eld shows that early exposure to art and music not only boosts academic achievement but also promotes creativity, self-confidence and school pride. Kids who spend more time in learning art and music can develop analytical thinking and reasoning skills than kids who do not. For example, my niece’s school realized the side effect of too much exposure to computers and decided to forbid students to have access to computers on campus. Instead, they offered a variety of courses in art and music for students to choose from. My niece, a 10- year-old was really fond of singing, and she is very versed in singing songs of different types. Thus, she took a singing class, where she got a chance to show her talent to her classmates. Eventually, the confidence she gained in music class motivated her to learn other subjects as well and she significantly improved her overall grade in all of her courses.
Additionally, spending more time teaching kids music and art can benefit the whole community. Music and art are very important parts of people’s lives. They are necessary for people to express their emotions like happiness, sorrow, and anger regardless of cultural background, ethnicity, age and gender. It is very urgent to spend more time teaching kids knowledge about art and music since they bring change, facilitate innovation and help to unite the community. They are the reminder of the past and maker of tomorrow, and they also help to convey ideas and different perspectives. More importantly, art and music have great cultural significance. By learning art and music, kids will have a strong sense of cultural identity and belonging to the community. Eventually, the traditional values and culture can be passed down to the younger generation.
To conclude, it is more advisable to spend more time teaching kids art and music than technology since not only can art and music benefit the individual kids but also they benefit the community as a whole.
