Task1:Which one of the following three qualities do you think is the most important for a roommate?
1.cleanness 2.Friendliness 3. Quietness 重复2016年11月13号口语
Personally, I think being friendly is the most important factor for a great roommate. First off, a friendly roommate is approachable and easy to get along with. Sometimes, we need help from a roommate when we got sick, or when we have some kind of emergency, being far away from parents and close friends. A friendly roommate might give us a hand when we need their help. Also, my roommate might be from distinctive cultural backgrounds, thus if they are friendly, we can be very close friends. I can get to know his or her culture, customs and ways of living. By interacting with him or her, I can broaden my horizons and have new perspectives on things.
02Task2
Task2:Some people think parents should punish kids for their bad behaviors while others think parents should rewards kids for their good behaviors. Which do you think is better ?
Well, I think it is better to rewards kids for their good behaviors instead of penalizing them if they misbehave. Rewarding kids can make them more confident and motivate them to be better selves. For instance, if your kids have done some household task, you can take them to go to a movie, buy them their favorite toys or give them extra TV time. In this way, kids will value their hard work and don’t take things for granted. Gradually, they can build up their confidence and be more successful late in their life. However, too much punishment will lead to self-hatred and lack of confidence. Kids will feel crippled in face of setbacks in the future.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: One quality that a successful leader must have is to make decisions quickly. When a leader takes too much time to make decisions, he will be seen as inefficient to the people he lead. 重复2015年11月29号
People tend to behave differently when having to make decisions. Some people mull over the pros and cons of every single possible option before making any kind of decision while others tend to be more decisive and using far less time to make the right decision. Personally, taking a long time to hunt down the right decision is a bad quality especially for a leader based the following reasons.
First off, taking a long time to hunt down the right option shows that the leader is indecisive and lacks resolution. Actually, people who spend a long time making decisions tend to overanalyze the situation and think they are being prudent when actually they are not. Think about it, there are both pros and cons of every single option available, and most of the time there is no not perfect decision since the seemingly best decision has its due drawbacks. Leaders spending long time making decisions tend to be overwhelmed with the "gaps" among different options and it is impossible for them to make rational decision. For example, my friend Tony’s supervisor tends to suffer from this kind of indecisiveness. One time Tony accompanies his supervisor to purchase a desktop for their team. Actually, shopping for a desktop can be pretty straightforward. However, for Tony’s supervisor, it was not such a simple decision and they ended up wasting our whole afternoon in the Best Buy.
Additionally, if a leader spends too much time making decisions, chances are that he or she might lose valuable opportunities that don't come around too often. More often than not, those who can be more decisive and rational when making a decision can enjoy better chances and opportunities since timing is an important factor for someone to capitalize on the opportunity. Indeed, for a business leader, not all decisions can have far-reaching impact on the business. Since it basically makes no big difference when choosing different options, it is not necessary to waste so much valuable time in the decision-making process. On the other hand, the time and energy should be channeled in other areas that can make the company more productive like designing new products, addressing the concerns of customers, and streamlining business operation, so on and so forth.
In all, spending long time making decision is a bad quality for a leader since it lets golden opportunity slip away. Also, it shows that the leader is indecisive and ruins perfectly good opportunities.
