I agree that violence in the mass media is one of the inducements of crimes, primarily because of the ubiquity of the mass media. People, no matter young or old, rich or poor, are used to seeking for entertainment from the media. Watching TV in the evening and seeing a movie on the weekend have become a part of many people’s life. While being entertained by the violent scenes in the media, people are influenced by them even without being aware of it. Especially children and teenagers, not experienced enough to judge right from wrong, tend to imitate everything they are interested in. Constant contact with violence in the media will definitely make them more aggressive. On top of that, violent crimes have been a common subject of TV series and movies. Showing not only how a detective reveals the truth and how the police subdue the criminals, but also how the criminals plot about a certain crime and the entire process in detail, the mass media have satisfied the general public’s curiosity. At the same time, they have actually provided the audience with a vivid lesson about how to commit a violent crime.

第三段：驳论

控制媒体中的暴力情节只能在一定程度上减少暴力犯罪，因为导致暴力犯罪的根本原因不在于此。

However, violence on media is, after all, an indirect cause of violent crimes, and the decrease in the crime rate requires much more than simply regulating the mass media. The fundamental reasons for the growing crime rate shall be rather complicated. Factors including the widening gap between the rich and the poor, the insufficient moral education for teenagers and the ineffective administration by local authorities would all contribute to social instability.

第四段：结论

To draw a conclusion, regulations on the violent scenes in the mass media will constrain people’s intention of committing the violent crime to a limited extent, and social security would be guaranteed provided with fewer social problems and effective government administration.
